Biography

Hello, my name is Huy!

B.S. in Computer Science 2023 @ University of Utah.

I am originally from Vietnam and will be the first in my family to achieve a college degree in my family! Building and shaping the Chef’d application has been quite a fun journey. Valuable resources and concepts were learned along the way. It was a pleasure working with the team to come up with a project that will be useful for many if not for everyone. Being able to quickly adapt and learn new software and programming languages, I was able to fully contribute to the team and help others when needed.

My primary areas of interest include software web design, full-stack development, game design, data science, and AI. My core responsibilities for Chef’d were user interface and design, displaying recipe data, digital shopping list, review system, digital kitchen pantry, and in-store shopping mode. Some other interests include fintech and mobile app development. I plan to dedicate some time to building a web application which will be a finance tracker for assets and monthly spending and budgeting. My external interests involve many sports like volleyball, tennis, golf, etc. I also enjoy video games and cooking. Excited for what the future holds!

Biography

I'm a passionate and dedicated Computer Science major at the University of Utah and am nearing the completion of my B.S. degree. My academic career has had an emphasis in Software Development, Databases, Machine Learning, and Data Science. My previous work experience mainly includes that of being a QA Intern at The University Of Utah's UIT(University Information Technology) department where I create automated testing and handle bugs for various web applications. All my experience has taught me that while specific technical skill is important, the key to success in this field lies in problem-solving, continuous learning, and effective teamwork. As I approach the completion of my degree, I am excited about the opportunity to apply my expertise in an industry setting, particularly in roles that challenge me to further expand my knowledge and skills in Software Development.

My hobbies include video games, board games, hiking, paddleboarding, and HiFi audio.

Biography

Hello I am Kevin Dwyer! I am originally from Orange County, California. I have previously interned at Intel in the Summer of 2022. I am graduating in 2023 at the University of Utah with a B.S. in Computer Science. I am currently interested in mainly Web Design, Software Design, and Game Development but also interested in A.I., back-end development, and more to find out! My core responsibilities for the team were account creation, dietary preferences, and setting up the discover page. Over the course of the past two semesters I have enjoyed being part of Chef’d and am happy to see where my idea took us! I have learned a lot from this project and my team and I am excited to see what I am working on next. My external hobbies include indoor bouldering, snowboarding, and playing video games.

Biography

I'm a Computer Science Major at the University of Utah (Class of 2023). My previous work experience includes that of interning for General Atomics in Layton Utah. I am now on the software development team for Chef'd. My core responsibilities were that of user to user interactions and Social media integration. Throughout the year of development that my team and I have put into our application I was able to learn the basics of phone application development via Flutter and have grown to appreciate the hard work that is put into full stack development. I plan on utilizing my skills acquired through the courses I've taken at the University of Utah and apply them in a professional workplace.

My external interests are that of physical fitness and playing guitar. I think that having a good work life balance is the key to success in all aspects.
